An investigation of landscape through various signs and media forms that serve in navigation. In the world of this book, multiple media inform visualized thought patterns and anchor points of understanding.  On one side of the book, the outline of a built, urban landscape takes form through repeated letter-pressed words and various dingbats collected from a type case. On the other side, electrical poles string together with text as wire, exploring the idea of transmitted communication as an activity that remains necessary for us to become human—our brains are pre-wired but open sourced transmitters.

Strung together lines of signposts and layered-word bundles fill the inside of the book.  Dilapidated signage photographed in Oakland, California, moves from an obsolete position to become material for constructing novel lines of meaning in this double-helixed, accordion style book.
